Sébastien Laboureau is a long-time art enthusiast and experienced art collector which has successfully grown into an art consultant in both Miami and Paris, as well as for private collectors and various institutions all over the world including partners in Latin-America and Asia.
Sebastien has recently partnered with new ownership at Sagamore Hotel Miami Beach as Resident Art Advisor, leading the art team in creating an ambitious art program including art exhibits as well as various music, dance, and performing art experiences.
As a respected and independent expert in the art market, Sébastien is a keynote speaker for various private banks (Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, Northern Trust, and Credit Agricole Indosuez,) family offices, art fairs and public institutions. He specializes in the topics of Art & Finance, Art Investment, Pop Art, Urban Art, and any topics related to the secondary market.
Sébastien holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Ecole des Mines de Paris and a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics. He benefits from international experience in Management Control at AXA Group and Investment Banking as Mergers and Acquisitions at Goldman Sachs.
He is a certified appraiser for the IFAA, International Fine Arts Appraisers, and a grant panelist for the Miami Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs. Sébastien also acts as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Arts and Business Council in Miami and sits on the Creative and Design committee for the Beacon Council. He is the regional representative for Continental Europe, The Art Fund Association, and serves on its Best Practices Committee. He is notably the Strategic Art Advisor of Institut Van Gogh, in Auvers-sur-Oise. He is also the lead curator of France Pavilion; an art consultant for URBAN ART FAIR, and leading art galleries in Miami, NYC, LA, and BOGOTA; and a global ambassador for STREET ART FOR MANKIND.
