15 Pro Tips for Attending Rolling Loud Miami 2022

The largest hip-hop festival in the world returns to Miami July 22 - 24, 2022 for its annual 3-day extravaganza featuring some of the biggest names in the business. Make the most of your festival experience at Hard Rock Stadium with smart planning. Here are our top tips for attending Rolling Loud Miami 2022. It pays to be prepared.

1. Check the Weather

It’s going to be warm in Miami, no doubt about it. Although the Hard Rock Stadium’s open-air roof canopy provides some relief from the sun, you’ll want to check the forecast for the occasional afternoon rainstorm to see if a lightweight rain jacket may come in handy. We recommend an emergency disposable rain poncho. They’re cheap, can roll up to fit in your pocket, and won’t be missed if you ditch them when the rain lets up.

2. Dress Smart

When spending the summer in Miami, always choose comfort over style. Lightweight clothing and comfortable shoes are key for warm weather and being on your feet all day. Don’t just save the bathing suit for the beach. Swimwear is an excellent option for a festival, as it is light, breathable, and waterproof.

3. Know What You Can and Cannot Bring to Rolling Loud Miami

We’ve combed through Rolling Loud’s FAQ list to find out exactly what you can bring to make the most of the festival. Certain cameras and Go-Pros are ok, but leave the glow sticks, selfie sticks, and blankets back at the hotel. Layer on sunscreen and bring more to reapply throughout the day (non-aerosol only). Check Rolling Loud’s full list of banned/allowed items before you leave for the festival.

4. Cash is Key

Although credit cards are accepted at festival merch and food vendors, minimize your transaction time by using cash instead. Rolling Loud will have ATMs available, but we recommend withdrawing directly from your bank in advance to save on costly service fees.

5. Hydrate

Don’t spend all your cash on water. Concertgoers are allowed to bring one empty, plastic, reusable 32 oz. water bottle or an empty, plastic, clear hydration pack (like Camelbak). Considering bottled water often ranges from $3 to $5 per bottle, you’ll save tons during the 3-day festival.

6. Plan Your Ride

Hard Rock Stadium is about a 25-minute drive from The Sagamore Hotel South Beach. If you don’t have your own ride, catch a cab for around $50 one-way to the event grounds in Miami Gardens. For a more economical option, consider a rideshare service. Use UberPool to be matched with fellow riders and get to Hard Rock Stadium for around $20 one-way. These estimates do not take price gouging for big events into account, so prices may be much more!

Rolling Loud is offering shuttle services with direct access to the festival gates. Visit their website for shuttle passes and see if one of their routes works for you.

7. Know Your Parking Options

The home of the Miami Dolphins is equipped to handle traffic, so parking may be plenty - but not cheap. There are off-site parking lots surrounding Hard Rock Stadium but prices will vary depending on the location.

8. Know the Rolling Loud Miami Lineup and Set Times

Over 120 artists will take one of three stages during Rolling Loud Miami. Prioritize which artists you want to see in advance. Set times and a site map will be released on the official website closer to the day of the festival. For now, Rolling Loud has a list of daily performers that will give you some idea of what to expect. Don’t miss headliners Ye on Friday, Future on Saturday, and Kendrick Lamar on Sunday.

9. Download the Rolling Loud App and Pack a Portable Cell Charger

Stay connected and get updates with the Rolling Loud App. Be the first to receive the latest news, lineups, merch, and behind-the-scenes content when you download the official app straight to your smartphone.

You may want to bring a small powerstation to recharge your devices at the festival. There’s no re-entry once you leave the stadium, so don’t depend on your home charger to get your phone and camera through the day. Talk, take photos, and browse the Rolling Loud App longer with a pocket-sized universal battery. Just make sure to charge it before you go.

10. Don’t Bring Anything You Wouldn’t Miss

Festivals can sometimes get a bit rowdy (and dirty). With endless distractions during showtime, keeping track of your sunglasses, jewelry, and other small items won’t be your first priority. You don’t want to bring any items that you wouldn’t mind getting beaten up. Leave your prized possessions at home.

Rolling Loud is offering lockers to store your goods. Best of all, the lockers come internally equipped with a universal phone charger. Book your locker in advance.

11. Establish a Meeting Point

Hard Rock Stadium is huge. The festival is entirely general admission, meaning no assigned seats. The only way to get close to the stage is to arrive early and make your way up front. With deafening decibels, massive crowds, and potentially spotty cell service, picking a spot to meet up with friends is best so you don’t fly solo. Lockers make a great meeting point for you and your crew!

12. Buy Your Rolling Loud Miami Merch in Advance

Merchandise lines are the worst. Don’t wait in a seemingly endless line and miss out on your favorite acts when you can buy your Rolling Loud gear in advance. Check out the available swag on Rolling Loud’s site, place your order, and stylishly strut past the merch line with your official tee.

13. Don’t Overdo It

Sip your alcoholic beverages - slowly. You don’t want that afternoon buzz in the Miami heat when your favorite acts aren’t scheduled to perform for another few hours. Drink responsibly for maximum fun. Food and beverages will be available on-site for purchase and there is plenty of seating throughout the festival grounds to re-energize.

14. Buy Rolling Loud Tickets NOW and don’t reserve via Will Call

While Will Call gives you the luxury of having your tickets on hold for you, let’s face it - it’s a nightmare. Make sure to get tickets mailed to your home or sent digitally, so you can skip the long Will Call line and stroll into the stadium with your ticket in hand.

Tickets are still available for purchase. Rolling Loud Festival is July 22 - 24, 2022 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.

15. Book Your Rolling Loud Miami Hotel Stay
