10 Best Summer 2023 Events in Miami

As temperatures rise, Miami heats up with a stacked lineup of fun events and things to do each summer. This year, check out Fourth of July celebrations, Miami Swim Week, Florida Supercon, Rolling Loud, and so much more. Find your next great experience with our Miami summer calendar of events 2023.

1. Yayoi Kusama: LOVE IS CALLING at PAMM and Kerry Phillips: Between the Mundane and the Miraculous at The Bass - Miami Summer Art Exhibitions

Yayoi Kusama: LOVE IS CALLING: Now through Feb. 11, 2024

Kerry Phillips: Between the Mundane and the Miraculous: Aug. 17 - Oct. 22, 2023

The iconic Yayoi Kasuma’s room-size psychedelic LOVE IS CALLING is the contemporary artist’s largest and most immersive kaleidoscopic presentation of her signature polka dots, soft sculptures, and spoken word. The darkened, mirrored room is illuminated by inflatable, color-changing, tentacle-like forms extending from the floor and ceiling. Don’t miss this one at  Pérez Art Museum Miami.

Only a 10-minute walk from The Sagamore, The Bass presents Kerry Phillips’ first solo museum exhibition this August. Between the Mundane and the Miraculous explores the intersections of materials, from natural to the manufactured, that define humanity’s ongoing negotiations with industrialization, technology, the environment, and material culture. The Miami-based artist will construct the large-scale sculptural installation using items like dressers, lamps, jars, carpet, and more scavenged objects in playful, unexpected ways.

Looking for more of Miami’s burgeoning contemporary art scene? Visit Miami’s original “Art Hotel” at The Sagamore. #SagamoreIsArt serves as a unique cultural platform offering curated and immersive art experiences like year-round rotating art exhibits, Art Basel events, a sculpture garden, and more.
