#SagamoreIsArt Presents: Relishing Red
Join The Sagamore Hotel now through March 31 as we present Relishing Red, our newest exhibition showcasing a wide range of contemporary works by artists “relishing the color red."
Artists Bruce Helander, Maite Nobo, Ron Burkhardt, Carol Calicchio, Hamilton Aguiar, J. Steven Manolis (whose works are pictures above), and others created 40 x 30 inch works exploring notions of danger, assertion, strength, romance, excitement, vitality, joy, sexuality, power, and impulsiveness - all of which have been the subjects of artistic vision and the colorful common denominator for quite a number of famous artworks.
“The works on view … collectively show off a delightful mixed use of the color red and its often passionate inspiration. This sweet cherry color together with all its hues and tints has its own built-in signals (including good luck!) that have inspired the artists’ works on view that feature passion and intrigue, danger and romance, all incorporating ruby red,” Bruce Helander writes.
The exhibition opened last month at the Monolis Projects gallery in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood to widespread acclaim, and The Sagamore is delighted to be hosting the show now in Miami Beach.
Relishing Red will remain on view at The Sagamore through March 31, with a special artist reception to be held on March 22, 2022. Entry is free and open to the public. Visit Manolis Projects for a sneak peek of the artworks.
