When is Art Basel Miami 2024?
The 2024 edition of Art Basel begins December 4 & 5 - for invite-only VIP guests, before opening to the public December 6 - 8 (11 am - 6 pm daily). For those who were invited to get a glimpse of the showrooms before the public, refer to the official website for the full Art Basel opening hours.

What’s New at Art Basel 2024
34 New Galleries

Yasmil Raymond
The 2024 Meridians sector will be curated for the first time by Yasmil Raymond. Yasmil is an independent curator and the outgoing Director of Portikus and Rector of the Hochschule für Bildendende Künste-Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
The Art!
The 2024 show will display countless works of art from over 280 galleries from 35+ countries. Enjoy viewing the latest art from both up-and-coming artists and well known masters.
Art Basel Miami 2024 Sectors
Art Basel is BIG. Really big. There is a lot to see and do. To arrange the event, the organizers break down the show into “sectors”. Each sector focuses on a specific topic. For example, one sector may have a focus on monumental art, while another sector might focus on solo presentations by emerging artists.
Galleries
The heart of Art Basel is the show’s main sector - Galleries. This is where art galleries from all over the world exhibit their favorite works. While strolling through Galleries, you will experience works from both up-and-coming talents to 20th-century masters. Meridians

Survey
The Survey Sector is dedicated to galleries exhibiting the artistic practices of historical relevance.
Kabinett
Some galleries display separate collections as part of the Kabinett Sector. The Kabinett Sector of Art Basel displays thematic group exhibitions, art-historical showcases, and solo presentations.
Nova
If you are interested in viewing modern works created within the past three years (by one, two, or three artists), don’t miss the Nova Sector.
Positions
Part of the beauty of Art Basel is the sheer variety of galleries present. It is easy to spend your time in the established galleries, but it is also well worth visiting the young galleries. The Positions Sector showcases young galleries exhibiting solo presentations by emerging artists.
Conversations
Listen and participate in live debates with thought leaders and inspiring cultural figures of the art world. Conversations at Art Basel will cover a variety of interesting topics shaping the world of art and culture. Don’t miss a conversation with Kate Gilbert and Shirin Neshat titled “What Can Public Art Do?” Conversations are free and open to the public. Booking free tickets is recommended.
