The Ultimate Guide to Spring Break South Beach 2024

Pack it up and head to the warm weather of Miami Beach this spring. Whether you’re looking for a family escape or a hang-out with friends, SoBe is where it’s at. From where to stay to what to do, activities, events, and more, here’s your ultimate guide to spring break in South Beach 2024.

Best Place to Stay in Miami for Spring Break

You’ll want a place to kick back and relax between spring break shenanigans. Stay with The Sagamore for some much needed rest from campus or everyday life. We’re centrally located in South Beach on Collins Avenue, with plenty of amenities to keep you entertained without ever leaving the grounds - boutique accommodations, on-site dining, and an infinity pool deck to lounge with umbrellas, Butterfly Cabanas, chaise lounges, and poolside bites and beverages delivered straight to you. Best of all, our backyard is the beach, and we provide private access and complimentary beach chairs for our guests.

How to Get Around South Beach Without a Car

Traveling around South Beach can be entertaining all on its own. Exploring on foot is one of the most convenient ways of getting around to all corners of the neighborhood. You’ll find Collins Avenue, Washington Avenue, Lincoln Road, Ocean Drive, and the Art Deco District all easily traversable by foot or bike from The Sagamore. Guests have access to our bike fleet which includes two hours of complimentary rental, so grab one of our Linus cycling bikes and cruise the South Beach Boardwalk, Art Deco District, or South Pointe Park.

If you’re planning to explore Greater Miami or need a ride to and from the airport, a car, taxi, or public transportation is needed. Ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft are a popular alternative and tend to be less expensive than taxis and rental cars. Simply download your preferred app and request a car. Alternatively, the South Beach Trolley and South Beach Local Bus are excellent ways to explore the heart of the neighborhood, and the Miami Beach Airport Express is the airport-to-the-beach bus line.

What to do on Spring Break in Miami

Whether your idea of spring break entails waking up in a comfortable room with beautiful ocean views, soaking up rays on the beach, or visiting some of the hottest bars and nightclubs in all of Miami, memories are here for the making (and many don’t involve tequila). Visit the Miami Beach Botanical Garden for colorful spring floral displays, Lummus Park for people watching, or Collins Park to view outdoor public art installations. Here in the Art Deco District, art is all around you! There’s contemporary art filling acclaimed museums like The Bass and The Wolfsonian, and art even open for viewing after dark at The Sagamore, Miami’s original Art Hotel.

Garnering international attention and acclaim, #SagamoreIsArt presents year-round rotating curated selling art exhibits, an outdoor Sculpture Garden, and exclusive partnerships with leading artists, museums, and non-for-profits. Our art program creates a unique opportunity for all to immerse in the art world by keeping all works on view 24/7 and completely free to the public.

Miami Spring Break Safety…Things to Remember

While late nights at clubs, swarmed beaches, and college students may sound oh-so-appealing, it’s important to remember to practice safe drinking, use the buddy system, swim safely, use sunscreen, and hydrate often.
