Art Basel Miami 2021 Events

Art Basel can be broken down into sectors. Here we go through each one and list some featured galleries and artists that are sure to inspire.

Art Basel’s main sector, Galleries is where leading international modern and contemporary art galleries exhibit their works by artists ranging from young talents to 20th-century masters. See modern works from NYC’s long-running 303 Gallery, San Francisco’s Berggruen Gallery, and Miami’s own David Castillo Gallery at the show. View the full list of galleries here.

The Conversations program features artist talks, panels, and discussions between artists, gallerists, curators, collectors, architects, art lawyers, critics, and more prominent members of the international art world. More details on the 2021 schedule to be announced soon.

You’ll find large-scale projects at Meridians. Stay tuned to the Art Basel website for a 2021 program.

All works within the Nova sector were created within the last three years. See photographs from Bodega’s Em Rooney, sculptures from Document’s Julien Creuzet, and indigenous contemporary art from Half Gallery’s Natalie Ball. Check out all participating Nova galleries and artists here.

See newer galleries showcasing emerging artists at Positions. Keep an eye out for works by Mariana Manhães (mixed media, Brazil), Ulala Imai (paintings, Japan), and Paloma Contreras Lomas (mixed media, Mexico). See the full list here.

Survey highlights artworks with historical relevance. Artists like the late Joe Brainard, the late Tina Girouard, and Dindga McCannon are only a few of the names we’re looking forward to. See the full list here.

Editioned works, prints, and multiples are on display at Art Basel’s Edition sector. Galleries like Two Palms (NYC), Susan Sheehan (NYC), Carolina Nitsch (NYC), Cristea Roberts (London), and Polígrafa Obra Gràfica (Barcelona) will all be showcasing.

Galleries curate displays in a separate section of their booth at Kabinett. Projects may include thematic exhibitions, art-historical showcases, and solo presentations. Stay tuned to the Art Basel website for the 2021 list.

Browse international art publications at Magazines. Stay tuned to the Art Basel website for 2021 participants.
