The free Conversations program held throughout Art Basel features nine panels with discussions between 35 artists, gallerists, curators, collectors, architects, art lawyers, critics, and more prominent members of the international art world.
As Art Basel’s main sector, Galleries is where leading international modern and contemporary art galleries exhibit their works by artists ranging from young talents to 20th-century masters. See modern works from NYC’s long-running 303 Gallery, San Francisco’s Berggruen Gallery, and Miami’s own David Castillo Gallery at the show.
Galleries curate special displays in a separate section of their booth at Kabinett. Projects may include thematic group exhibitions, art-historical showcases, and solo presentations.
You’ll find boundary-pushing, large-scale projects at Meridians.
All works within the Nova sector were created within the last three years. See newer galleries showcasing emerging artists at Positions. This year, New York-based artist Cynthia Talmadge will be showcasing with 56 Henry (NYC), alongside artists Andrew Roberts from Pequod Co. (Mexico City), and Texas Isaiah from Residency Art Gallery (Los Angeles).
